The purpose of the chapter is to inspire and recognize students who have an outstanding interest in art. “Membership in the chapter is based on scholarship, service and character. Students with a minimum average of B and have completed one semester in art; this is a national minimum standard of achievement required for eligibility.”
The obligation of the chapter is to bring art into the community through art related community service hours. Greenfield students have made play dough with children from the Spot, (daycare facility). We have crafted bird feeders with seniors at Spring Arbor and collage placemats at Avante Nursing Home. Yearly NAHS members hang the annual Greenfield juried high school art show at the Arts Council of Wilson. http://www.wilsonarts.com/exhibitions/
