Watson Library & Media Center

Mission
The mission of the Watson Library at Greenfield School is to empower students and faculty to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, and ethical users of information. The library provides a collection of resources that supports classroom instruction, encourages reading and research for academic and personal pursuits, and fosters awareness and appreciation of diverse perspectives and cultures.

Library Classes
Students in lower school visit the library every week for lessons in information literacy and literary appreciation, and to check out books of their choice for independent reading. Those in middle school (5th-7th grade) visit the library daily for six weeks each semester, where we delve more deeply into topics in information literacy, identifying reliable sources, research skills, and developing the habits of lifelong readers.
