The Greenfield School Athletic Department is proud of its
accomplishments. The department has a no-cut policy,
allowing all student athletes to participate. On the
average, there is a 95% participation rate among the student body.
Greenfield offers varsity, junior varsity and middle school sports
in soccer, tennis, basketball, golf, volleyball, cheerleading, and
baseball. Since 2000, the department has won 16 NCISAA state
championships, and 14 NCISAA 2nd place finishes, as well as countless semi-final appearances in state tournaments. The Knights have sent over 100 teams to the state play-offs in the past 15 years.
Greenfield competes in the Coastal Plains Independent Conference, and is a member of the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association. Along with Independent school competition, Greenfield plays public schools in the 1-A, 2-A, 3-A, and 4-A classification. The teams try to schedule the best competition at the varsity level. The middle school teams participate in conference play, with an emphasis on participation, sportsmanship and team oriented goals.
