ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES

ADMISSIONS CRITERIA

The admission process attempts to identify students who are capable of succeeding in a college preparatory curriculum and fulfilling the school’s requirements for graduation.  In reviewing applications, the Office of Admissions considers past educational performance, teacher recommendations, standardized testing, and the results of a personal interview with the prospective student.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

Admission decisions are made when the entire application process has been completed.  The following information is required to complete our file for evaluation.

A.      Preliminary Information.

1.     The completed application for enrollment.

2.     A non-refundable application fee of $100.00.

3.     A recent snapshot of the applicant (optional).

B.       Previous School Records.

1.     A copy of the most recent report card or an academic transcript.

2.     Teacher recommendations as required.

C.       Testing and Visitation.

1.     Arrangements for testing should be made through the Admissions Office for kindergarten through grade 12.

2.     Students in all grades are encouraged to visit classes in the grade for which they are applying (often on the day of testing).

3.     All families are invited to tour our campus.

ADMISSIONS POLICY:

Admissions will be determined by the following criteria.

A.      Admissions priorities are as follows:

1.     Re-enrollment of current students.

2.     Enrollment of siblings and children of alumni and faculty on a first-come, first-served basis.

3.     Enrollment of other students will be based upon date of completed application and receipt off application fee.  When there are no places available in any given grade, an enrollment pool will be established.  Applicants will be notified as spaces become available.

B.       Applicants will be informed of admittance decisions by the school on a rolling admission basis.  Contracts will be issued upon a student’s notification of acceptance.  Within seven days after notification of acceptance, a non-refundable deposit of $300.00 is required to secure the student’s place.  Once the signed contract and a tuition deposit are returned to the school, the student is officially enrolled.  A full explanation of the deposit is described in the Tuition and Fee schedule.

FINANCIAL AID:

Financial Aid is available for students at Greenfield School as a means of making the school accessible to those families, whose children meeting the requirements for admission, are not in a position to meet tuition expenses without financial assistance.

DISCRIMINATION CLAUSE:

Greenfield School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, and national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarships and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
