About Me

A native Midwesterner, Jennifer moved to Wilson from Washington, DC in 2002 and became Greenfield’s librarian in 2018.  She earned her BA in Philosophy at George Mason University (’91) and her Master of Library Science at East Carolina University (’22).  She teaches library and information literacy classes to students in kindergarten through 7th grade, coaches the elementary and middle school Battle of the Books teams, and seeks to connect readers of all ages with books they will enjoy. Before coming to Greenfield, Jennifer worked as a museum curator and an editor. When she is not reading, Jennifer enjoys creating historically inspired woven and stitched textiles, cloud-watching, and working on projects around her 19th-century farmhouse.
