Sport and Game Camp

Grades/Ages: Rising 2nd – Rising 6th Grades

Description: The Sport and Game camp is designed to highlight several sports or games each day of the week.  Students will have a chance to refine their skills, learn rules of each game and play against others in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment.  Some of the sports we may experience are Kickball, Pickleball, Outdoor Hockey, Soccer, Battle Bowling, Tag games, Jumping Rope, Ultimate Football, Team Handball, and Monster ball.  Please bring a snack and water bottle.

 

Kindergarten Boot Camp

Grades/Ages: Rising Kindergarten

Camp 1: June 6th-June 10th, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Description: Help prepare your child for the transition to kindergarten.  Your child will become acclimated to their surroundings, meet fellow classmates, and get accustomed to our routine.  Your child will review and enhance skills that they have learned in Transition Kindergarten, for example letter and number recognition, letter sounds, counting, etc.  My approach will be through hands-on and kinesthetic activities.  I will introduce beginning reading skills like rhyming, opposites and sight words.  In math I will introduce our beginning skills, including; position words, patterns, and sorting.  We will have some fun in our Practical Life room enhancing fine motor skills and enjoying creative projects.

 

Stem for Kids

Grades/Ages: Ages 10-13

Description: The STEM Camp for Kids is a memorable experience for kids to enjoy for four days of the week right after school ends! It includes unique activities that will challenge them to apply the scientific method and problem solve.

 

Science Explorers

Grades/Ages: 4th-8th Grade

Dates/Time: June 13th-June 16th, 9:00 AM – 12: 00 PM

Description: This camp is designed to give science explorers a different hands-on STEM experiences each day. Science activities will be fun, interactive and engaging.

 

Sewing Basics

Grades/Ages: Rising 4th- Rising 12th Grade

Dates/Time: June 20th – June 24th, 9:00 – 12:00 PM

Cost: $60

Leader: Erin Brown

Description: Learn some basic sewing skills to help you survive college and beyond. Learn how to attach a button, how to hem a pair of pants, how to mend tears in clothing and complete a basic hand sewing project all in one week. This class will cover hand sewing only, no machines will be used. Please bring a snack each day. Sewing materials will be provided.

 

Percussion and Drum Camp

Grades/Ages: Rising 4th - Rising 7th Grade

Dates/Time: June 20th – June 23rd, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Cost: $135

Description: Percussion and Drum Camp is for 4th grade through 7th grade students who want to play drums. The camp will help students learn to hold sticks, play on real drums, and learn about multiple percussion instruments.

 

Junk Drawer Engineering

Grades/Ages: Ages 8-11

Dates/Time: July 11th- July 15th, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Description: Test your engineering skills—you probably have all you need in your junk drawer!  Each hands-on project will challenge you to come up with a unique solution to a specific design problem.  Test the limits of your problem-solving skills or use them for friendly competitions—who can come up with the best solution?  Which solutions actually work and which ones would be absolutely mind-boggling if they did???  Plan.  Create. Test. Improve. Test Again.  Re-ENGINEER!

11:00-12:00 on 7/15 will be Invention Convention where students can share and demo what they've engineered over the course of the week.

 

Junk Drawer Engineering

K-5th Basketball

Cheer Camp

Grades/Ages: Rising 6th – Rising 12th Grade

Dates/Time: July 19th – July 21st , 9:00AM - 12:00PM

Cost: $140

Description: This camp is designed for rising sixth to twelfth grade students who are interested in learning the essential basic cheer skills. Cheerleaders will learn basic chants and a spirit dance. Campers will work on perfecting their jumps and motions. Please bring a snack and water.

 

Guitar Camp

Grades/Ages: Rising 4th – Rising 12th Grade

Dates/Time: July 18th – July 21st, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Cost: $135

Leader: Hal Sargent

Description: Guitar Camp is for any student who wants to learn the guitar. It is a beginning guitar class for 4th graders through high school. A student can borrow a school guitar if they do not have one (supplies are limited to full-size guitar. If your child needs a smaller guitar, I can give some recommendations.) Students need to bring their own picks. Students will learn to read music, strum, and play basic melodies on the guitar. 

 

Theater

Grades/Ages: Rising 3rd- Rising 8th

Dates/Time: July 25th - July 28th, 1:00 – 5:00 PM

Description: Enjoy an assortment of theater activities. Participate in improv, skit writing, acting, and directing. Learn some practical theater skills you can apply to your next show!

 

Wild about First Grade!

Grades/Ages: Rising 1st and 2nd Graders

Description: If you are excited about starting first grade next year - or loved it so much this year you want to come back - this camp is for you!  We will have a blast together learning about many different WILD animals, all while brushing up on our classroom skills so we are ready for a new school year.  We will read, write, draw, color, act, sing, play, and LEARN.  Come join the fun! 

 

Greenfield Tennis Camp
