Science Olympiad

Students in grades 3-6 meet once a week after school to prepare a competition that takes place in the spring. We compete against approximately 15 teams from all over Eastern NC. There are multiple events spanning all aspects of science. There are building challenges, CSI investigations, bottle rockets, catapults, fossils, botany, body systems, astronomy and more!
 
At our Spring competition, students show off their expertise in their two or three events. On the competition day groups of two or three students compete in 18 events for a chance to win a medal in that event.  The whole team is awarded a score based on the cumulative scores from all 18 events.
