The Middle School Community Service Club held a food drive to help The Community Soup Kitchen of Wilson County prepare for this holiday season. Lower School and Middle School participated. The club members worked extremely hard every morning collecting the donations that were dropped off at carpool and delivering them to the correct classrooms.
The club collected 959 large (#10 size/ 109oz) cans and over $1,200 for the soup kitchen!
Steve Williams, the soup kitchen director, stated we donated enough food to last 6 months! He said they were very appreciative and had been overwhelmed with need this year.
