Janet B. Beaman Academic Scholarship
Greenfield School is proud to announce that two academic scholarships will be awarded for the 2017/18 school year to honor the dedication and career of Janet Beaman, former teacher and Headmaster. The Janet B. Beaman Academic Scholarship will be awarded to one rising 9th or 10th grade student who has never been enrolled in grades K-12 at Greenfield School and to one rising 9th grade student who is currently enrolled in the 8th grade at Greenfield School. Each Beaman Scholar will receive a scholarship worth 50% of the current tuition, excluding fees, to be renewed each year of high school.
For students wishing to apply who are not currently enrolled in the 8th grade, please complete the application process and the below questionnaire. You must go through the application process, be accepted to the school and set up an interview with the scholarship committee. Merit Based Scholarships
Rising 6th through 12th grade students are eligible for Merit Based Scholarship opportunities. A limited number of scholarships are awarded each year. Scholarships will be renewed each year provided the student retains an annual GPA of 3.2 (unweighted), does not fail a class for a semester, and remains a student in good behavioral standing (having not served a suspension from school or received a penalty disseminated by the Honor Council or Discipline Committee). Awards will be determined on or around June 1st prior to the beginning of each new school year. Only completed applications will be considered and student must be enrolled for the upcoming school year.
Eligibility to apply:
- Applicants who will be attending Greenfield School for the first time in the upcoming school year;
- Applicants entering grades 6th - 11th;
Awards are based upon a combination of academic and character criteria and require the following:
- Most recent report card/transcript;
- Entrance test results;
- Teacher recommendations (English and Math teachers); and
- Writing sample;
The amount awarded may range between $750 and $3,000.
