About Me
Originally from Charleston, WV, Kim Matthews has called Wilson home for the past 21 years. With over three decades of experience in the field of education, she holds the position of 2nd-grade teacher at Greenfield. Her journey in education began at East Carolina University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's in Library Science and throughout her career has served students in many different forms as a teacher and media coordinator. When asked about her favorite quote related to what guides her teaching, she referred to Dr. Seuss, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go". As the new academic year approaches, Kim is eagerly looking forward to witnessing the excitement on her students faces as they embark on new learning experiences here at Greenfield.
