JV Girls Tennis Head Coach

Position Summary:
The JV Girls Tennis Head Coach is responsible for leading and developing the junior varsity girl’s tennis program in a manner that supports the mission, values, and standards of Greenfield School. The coach will instruct student-athletes in the fundamentals, rules, strategies, and sportsmanship of tennis while fostering teamwork, discipline, character, and academic accountability.

Organize and conduct safe, effective, and engaging practices.
Teach tennis fundamentals, match strategy, conditioning, and sportsmanship.
Supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, and team events.
Promote positive relationships among players, parents, officials, and school personnel.
Coordinate match lineups
Ensure compliance with school, conference, and state athletic association policies.
Monitor student-athlete academic progress and encourage academic success.
Communicate team expectations, schedules, and updates with players and parents.
Model professionalism and integrity.
Assist in the development of the overall girl’s tennis program in coordination with the varsity coach.
Provide appropriate supervision before, during, and after practices and competitions.
Ensure proper care and security of athletic facilities and equipment.
Attend coaches’ meetings, trainings, and school functions as required.

Qualifications
• Previous tennis coaching or playing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of tennis rules, techniques, and player development.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school staff.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Must meet all school and state coaching certification requirements.
• Successful completion of background check and any required trainings.
