SCHOOL
Greenfield School is an independent, nonsectarian, co-educational college preparatory school in Wilson, North Carolina founded in 1969. The school is fully accredited by AdvancEd and maintains a preschool through twelfth grade program. The enrollment for 2021-2022 is 406 students.
FACULTY
Greenfield School has 46 full-time faculty, and 9 part-time faculty, including 17 with master’s degrees. There is a ratio of 1 faculty member for every 7 students.
UPPER SCHOOL CURRICULUM
English
Students benefit from an integrated writing, reading, and critical thinking approach, with specialized study in vocabulary and grammar. The curriculum includes Introduction to Literature and Composition, British Literature, American Literature, and World Literature.

Greenfield students have the opportunity to choose from 140 online courses, including fourteen additional A.P. courses, offered through the NC Association of Independent Schools Virtual Education Consortium. Students also have the opportunity to enroll in Wilson Community College courses through a dual enrollment program for high school students as well as the Virtual High School program.

Students at Greenfield School are not ranked. All students participate in a rigorous college preparatory curriculum and 100% of our graduates have been accepted into a college or university.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Greenfield School offers numerous team sports, many extracurricular activities, and required community service for all students in grades 9-12.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements for graduation are twenty-four units including the following:
English - 4 units
Mathematics - 4 units
Social Studies (includes World History I and II, US History, and Govt/Econ) - 4 units
Science (through Chemistry) - 3 units
Foreign Language (in the same modern language) - 2 units
Health and Physical Education - 1 unit
Fine Arts - 1 unit
* Additional units from among English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, or Computer Science courses - 2 units, general electives - 3 units.
