The Tipsy Turtle was the location this past Saturday, August 11th for the annual J. Christopher Gauss Scholarship Party. The party was hosted by John Thompson, Badie Clark, Arch Ellis, Watson Barnes, John Tetterton, Erick Bell, Vance Young, Bart Williams and Barnes Thompson. The event raised a little over $6,000 and donations are still coming! It was so great to see so many people in attendance. One of the highlights of the evening was the beautiful music played by Molly Tetterton, the daughter of one of the hosts, John Tetteron. Food, fun and fellowship was enjoyed by all and Greenfield is so grateful for the outpouring of support from everyone.
The Gauss Scholarship was established in 2013 to honor the memory of J. Christopher Gauss, a member of the class of 1982. Awarded each year to a well-rounded student-athlete, the scholarship has assisted five students with tuition at Greenfield since its first award in 2014.
There is still time to make a donation! You may do so by sending your money to Greenfield or visiting our website and making an online donation at https://secure.etransfer.com/EFT/BlockCode/donation1.cfm?d2org=Greenfield&d2tool=Giving
