Clifton Blanton is originally from Jacksonville, FL. After earning a BS in Finance from Florida State University he moved to Wilson, NC in 1990 with Bridgestone to run a profit center for them. After 10 years with Bridgestone Clifton began working for Edgecombe County Schools as a Math teacher. Upon earning a BA in Middle School Math Education from Barton College in 2025 he moved to Elm City Middle School and taught Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts for 20 years. This is Clifton’s first year teaching at Greenfield School after retiring from the state following the 2024-2025 school year. He will be teaching 6th grade Science and High School Math as well as being an Academic Coach for Greenfield this school year. Outside of work, Cliff enjoys woodworking, construction, baking, cooking, and other various distractions.
