Applications are being accepted at Greenfield School for the Janet B Beaman Academic Scholarship

This scholarship, in its fourth year, honors the dedication and career of Janet Beaman, former teacher and headmaster. The Janet B. Beaman Academic Scholarship is awarded to one rising 9th or 10th grade student who has been accepted to Greenfield School as a new student. Each Beaman Scholar will receive a scholarship worth 50% of the current tuition, excluding fees, to be renewed each year of high school.

The requirements will be determined by a committee of faculty members selected by the Head of School. The committee will be looking for a well-rounded, mission appropriate student with superior character and outstanding academic achievement. The following items are also required:

A well written selection of essays

One teacher recommendation

One community recommendation

An interview with the committee and superior scores on the entrance exam

Beaman scholars must maintain an unweighted GPA of 3.5, must not fail a class for a semester, and must remain in good behavioral standing (no suspensions or Honor Code offenses). The scholarship is renewed each year until graduation if the stated criteria have been met.

Scholarship applications are due by June 25 and the winner will be notified by July 31.
