Eric Nguyen tapped as new soccer coach.

Greenfield is happy to announce that Coach Eric Nguyen will be joining the Greenfield family as Head Soccer Coach this spring. Coach Nguyen was born in Wilson, NC and currently resides here with his wife, Brooke. She is from Temple Hills, Maryland. Coach Nguyen graduated from Chowan University with a degree in Biology / Minor in Chemistry and currently works as a chemist at Merck.

 

Coach Nguyen started his experience with soccer in high school where he played for three years at Hunt High School and was team captain. Coach Nguyen went on to play soccer for Chowan College all four years and was captain of that team as well.

 

Coach Nguyen began his coaching career in 2014 with the Wilson Youth Soccer Association and is currently coaching the U14 Girls and U15 Boys for WYSA. In 2014, Coach Nguyen began coaching JV Soccer at Hunt High School where his team won the Conference Title. Coach Nguyen started coaching the Hunt Varsity Soccer team in 2015. Coach Nguyen's accomplishments at Hunt include a 54-16-3 record, two undefeated conference titles, wins for 33 Straight Conference Matches, two Rotary Cup Championships, one Region Coach of the Year Award, one Co-Conference Coach of the Year, and he produced five All State players and eleven All Region players.
