About Me

Originally from Wilson, NC, Jayme Daniels brings thorough experience and knowledge to her position. At Greenfield, she teaches 7th-grade Social Studies, 8th-grade ELA, and Creative Writing in the Upper School. Her professional journey includes previously teaching 5th and 7th grade in Wilson County Schools after earning an English Literature degree from UNCW and her teaching certification from NC State. What Jayme loves most about teaching is the constant challenge that it presents, encouraging her to be a lifelong learner and fostering creativity in her daily work. She is particularly passionate about building strong relationships and helping her students become proficient readers and writers, recognizing the impact this skill has on all aspects of life guided by a quote from Bill Nye, "Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don’t.” Jayme looks forward to getting to know her students and colleagues, embracing the school's sense of community. Additionally, she has a special reason to be excited about this academic year as her son, James, will be joining her at Greenfield as a rising 9th grader. On her days off, Jayme enjoys reading, attending live music events, exploring new destinations, and advocating for individuals with special needs.
