About Me

Marisa White is originally from Summerfield, NC. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Elementary Education, she taught kindergarten for eight years in Cary, NC. While teaching, Marisa earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction K-12 which led her to teach fourth and fifth grades, each for one year. Shortly after having twins, Marisa applied for and was awarded a full scholarship for the North Carolina Principal Fellows Program where she earned a Master’s of School Administration. She then served as an assistant principal in Johnston County for five years. After taking a year to find the home/work balance, Marisa is excited to join the Greenfield faculty. She will function in a dual capacity role where she will both teach kindergarten and help shape the curriculum at Greenfield. Marisa loves creating a strong foundation for children in their educational journey. Outside of school, Marisa spends time with her husband and two nine-year-olds who attend Greenfield as well.
