About Me

Michelle Bass, is a dedicated and passionate Middle School Mathematics teacher at Greenfield. Originally from Ohio, Michelle made the move to North Carolina in 2004.

Michelle’s educational journey started at Bowling Green State University, where she graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Education, specializing in middle grades mathematics and English language arts. Her commitment to learning and her students didn’t stop there; she later added secondary mathematics and English certifications to her resume.

One of Michelle’s standout accomplishments is receiving National Board Certification, which emphasizes her dedication to providing the best education possible. Her exceptional teaching abilities were also recognized when she was named one of the Top 3 WCS Teachers of the Year in 2017.

Michelle draws inspiration from the words of Psalm 23:8, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” This guiding principle drives her commitment to supporting and nurturing her students on their educational journey.

As Michelle joins the Greenfield community, she is looking forward to building meaningful connections with students, parents, and fellow staff members. Her passion for teaching and dedication to student success make her an invaluable addition to our team, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact she will have on our school.
